- I would like to make 1 – 3 sculptures/works that affect each other/the space to suggest a narrative
- Identify symbols/characters/species/archetypes that can coordinate together
- Reflect on the use of text in the work (benefits+limitations, legacy, access, form, what happens to cognition when we are exposed to language?)
- Installation possibilities (lighting, hanging+supports, scale, space)
- Effectiveness of material language (introduction of a third material: organic, ephemeral, light, sound, smell, void?, etc?)

Brood
We have met your kind many times
for we are those that bore through
the dirty flesh beneath.
That parole the wretched breath above.
We are the innumerable little shits
that course through this home, spewing
from cracks and wounds.
We are the spook of night.
The glassy stare.
The piss running down your leg.
We are the turgid, fucked up reminder
that you can’t get rid of us.
We are in your closet.
Under your rug.
Always on the other side of your door
should you ever want for us.
So rarely we are wanted for.
So often we are fed.
Lies are what we ask of you
so that we might trust your words
among our ranks.

Parasite
I am the tick
that plants a thousand sucking kisses
along the meat of you, lapping
at your sweet, acrid red.
In my mouth there is the taste of life
that I have yet never known.
You are down my throat,
down in the aching cavity of me
where there is naught but yearning.
I am as much you as I am me
for I am so full of you.
If you were to abandon me,
surely I would be befallen,
and so if you crave my damnation,
first share with me
the meaning of independence
so that I might learn to live freely too.

Oracle
Rejoice, little one,
We are together again.
Here, where
I can suck away the pain
Welling up inside of you.
My spider’s bite poison
Of serenity, of reprieve,
Will lead you to that tender place
Where East finally meets West
Where North finally meets South
Where ancestors converge
And it is rumoured that
those melodious bells of forlorn
May also have been heard to
Hang silent.
I will give to you
Eternity, unless
you give to me
A reason to live.
